Peanuts are legumes, so I'd say I like them best as peanut sauce on pasta. Mmmmm!!! Fattening and oh so good!!!
I also love lentils the way my mom would make, with water (of course, duh!), tomato paste, garlic, and salt. Mmm, simple and good. Oh, and I love chickpeas as hummus, yum! And of course, the Beaner staple (which we had plenny times in my house), wihch are refried pinto beans. Love 'em with fried taters, and eating it all with a flour tortilla instead of a fork. Mmmm!

You want me to decide?!? How evil of you!
Only because they're so darn versatile I'll say the soybean. Other than that I couldn't even begin to choose!
Next time you make refritos use black beans instead and serve with blue corn tortillas!! Muy Bueno! (Hmm, Is this enough to get hit with a non-English report?)
Have fun with this link; It's scares me that I understand a lot of what they're talking about.

Mmmmmmmm, leeeeguuuuumes.
I would have to say the soy bean because it has given oh-so much to me and to so many other vegetarians wondering how they were going to make the switch and stick to it.
I also like lentils with caramelized onions and salt, a very simple dish called Muja Darah (sp?.)

Hmmmm... peanuts are always tops for me, too! And lima beans with the rubbery skin! Yeah, and chickpeas, cooked in curry, medium-spicy... Wow, I'm getting hungry just trying to decide!
Edit:
And oh, I forgot, my childhood favorite: mung beans! Cooked with eggplants and bittergourd and snake beans!
Edit 2:
I really love legumes, sorry I got carried away there...

Daahl, which is Lentils cooked in curry and coconut milk--they taste somewhat like refried beans (esp. when served with chapati), but more fragrant.

I am mad about black beans! They are quite versitile. They are good in soups, casseroles, burritos, with rice, in salads, the list goes on and on! ;-)
I really cannot stomach chickpeas on their own, but when they're magically transformed into hummus....watch out! I love hummus!

I love all of those tasty legumes. I have started sprouting them lately! I make chickpea sprouts, green pea, yellow pea, lentil, and all others. They are so crunchy and delicious! I harvest three trays a day, and eat them in everything. A yummy wrap is a good handful of assorted sprouts rolled up in a lettuce leaf. mmmmmmmmm
