it feels like my heart is just working hard 24/7 like its never in its resting mode..
theres so much adrenaline rushing thru me i feel like im going to explode at times because my heart is working so hard.

is that normal with anxiety a racing heart? i mean like even when i calm down from the anxiety its still beating fast and working hard.

I know this seems weird but you should try meditating. That happens to me sometimes and I just put on music and close my eyes and relax.

And if you take a low dosage of medicine you shouldn't get addicted. It might be a good idea, you don't want to have a heart attack.

That's exactly how I am. Doctors only suggest anti-anxiety meds, but I refuse because I don't want to be hooked on them my whole life. It has been described to me as a constant state of anxiety with sudden increased "attacks". To slow things down I made my life a little less busy - cutting hours at work and a class at school. I use the extra time to relax at home with good music and a good book.

I feel for ya, it really sucks to have severe anxiety, and most people can't even begin to relate to the extent we actually physically feel what is supposed to be a "mental" disease.

hi,your complaints sound very similar to a medical condition called "panic disorder". but there are many phsiological factors involved. my best advice to you would be to see your pcp and let him/her refer you to an MD who specialises in this field. the best option and treatment for you as a starter treatment/ diagnosis would be to use alprazolam, and depending upon the results of your bp monitoring, would be to initiate treatment with an initial dose of an appropriate beta-blocker. but only an expert MD in this field can really help you and i advise you to see your doctor immediately to resolve this problem!!!!
