Most places that you look HIV is described as a sexually transmitted disease. However, sexually transmitted disease and sexually transmitted infections are pretty much the same.... all are sexually transmitted so be careful when having any kind of sexual encounter. I hope this helps!

If you have diease with somebody you met or sleep with or even had a relationhsip with then you should always wear protected like condoms . well first thing is HIV isnt like STD there two difffernent dieases ? but i can say that if you caught HIV diease first then later on least couples months will turn into AID's that not really good at all to anybody who havent been tested yet. AID"s are more horrible dieases plus come from somebody who live or came from South Africa? but STD is like herpes diease but if you have it then you will live little longer live til you die.

They are sexually-transmitted diseases, but HIV may also be transmitted through blood contact, and Herpes simplex may also be transmitted through salival contact.
