If a diabetic is not metabolizing glucose into energy to fuel cells or into fat for storage of energy, then where will the glucose go?

Liver or kidneys?

Liver is not getting insulin to process the glucose so Kidneys it is. The kidneys strip the excess glucose and send it to the bladder for disposal in the urine.

When diabetes is uncontrolled and the body is not absorbing sugar properly, it is expelled from the body through the kidneys and into the urine. This happens because the body isn't producing insulin or is not using the insulin it has effectively. The result is a high concentration of sugar in the urine, the person is thirsty often, needs to pee a lot, is tired and loses a lot of weight. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes I had all of those symptoms and I could actually smell the sugar in my urine.

Glucose is the type of sugar usually found in blood. Normally there is very little or no glucose in urine. However, when the blood sugar level is very high, as in uncontrolled diabetes, it spills over into the urine. Glucose can also be present in urine when the kidneys are damaged or diseased.

Glucose is an almost sure-fire symptom of diabetes.

In the old days, doctors would taste the pee of patients suspected of diabetes, and if it was sweet, the patient was declared a diabetic.

Ineffective use of insulin and/or decreased kidney function causes the glucose to be excreted in the urine.

Because the diabetic person does not have enough insulin - which moves glucose out of the blood into the cells. Therefore, excess glucose is in the bloodstream and gets excreted in the urine.

Glucose in the urine is usually because of elevated blood glucose levels, causing the glucose to "spill" into the urine. Sometimes, there can be glucose on the urine if the person has kidney damage.

No, this means nothing. I wants saw ants COVER a urine soaked carpet after a child had an accident, even after it was cleaned up. The child did not have diabetes. The ants just like the moisture.
