Your heart rate is only mildlly elevated. It could have gone up from 'stress.' If people get dizzy when they turn their heads, it could be vertigo. If you're older, it could be more serious, like something wrong with your carotid arteries. Either way, it's always good to be active with your own health and seek your docs advice.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I would definitely go see your doctor. I had an episode once when I was at Irish dance class where my heart started racing unexpectedly, and I got dizzy, broke out in a cold sweat, and almost passed out. It turned out I had a heart defect called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome that causes an arrhythmia. I don't think anybody is going to be able to diagnose you over the internet. So go to your doctor, have them do an EKG. If the EKG comes back normal, they can do a stress test to see if anything shows up, or have you wear a portable EKG monitor, where, if you were to have an episode like that again, you push a button and it records what your heart is doing.

Good Luck, I hope everything turns out ok.
