Yes, cigarettes hurt every organ in your body and cause cancer and many other horrible things.

You are not going to make your mom quit. If she smokes cigarettes and weed, give it up. At this point I think if a doctor told her she had kidney cancer, it would not stop her. I know that is not the answer you wanted. Some times the truth is difficult to take. Your mom is just not ready or prepared to fight the fight that quitting would demand of her at this time. She has to be in much worse shape than she apparently is now.

First off, I'm a smoker, but, I also know from various things, mainy a car accident that put me in a coma three months and bedridden two years, having to learn to walk, talk, ect...that smoking, any kind of smoking was the one thing they told me that if I started back until I was completely healed, that smoking can makes things worse, but, more importantly your healing process and time takes soo much longer and knowing how hard it is to not smoke, it liked to killed me, but, I knew I didn't have more time to get better, I had already lost three months of my life, plus two years and it was worth quitting while I healed rather than have it last longer. Smoking for some reason, delays healing, I guess maybe the oxygen level and all, but, it will delay any kind of illness and can also make it worst...take it from someone who has been through pure h..lll, and even though I know smoking kills anyway, I still smoke again, after all that time I had quit..but, tell her she needs to quit, especially the weed too...that is even more harsh than cigerettes...been there when I was young..tell her, which I hope this is something that can be healed with her kidneys, it's better to suffer from withdrawels from the smoking of both than to delay and possibly not recover...also tell her to eat alot of protein, protein also helps the body to heal...she knows smoking kills like I do, but, she can handle it for awhile till she recovers, and if she isn't going to recover, if it's something deadly she has, then by all means let her smoke, why not..but, if that isn't the case, she can stop, and eat alot of protein, and drink alot of water, water water for her kidneys to flush them out...plus water is good for the entire body, which I hate water too, and don't drink it like I should but, found Fuze, which is water, but, is packed with all kinds of vitamins and taste great, that's the only way I can drink water, and my dr. told me it's water and it's good for you..so just ask her to please for you stop smoking all together, for you, till she gets better, then she can start back, but, who knows maybe she'll quit and not want it anymore, which would be the best...tell her not to be a dummy like me and start back once you do quit for awhile...good luck
