If it's just a cough, I'd stick with Robitussin DM, or the generic (store brand) version.

None of them actually work other than to soothe a little while you are actually taking it. I'd save my money if I were you and stick to hot orange juice with honey, lemon and glycerine.

Beechams all in one - its strong and doesnt taste too nice but it has always worked for me.
