My friend gave blood three weeks ago in Florida. If there was something wrong with his blood (hiv), how long would it take to contact him- do you think?

It takes about a couple of weeks. They test it and then pack it away. If there is something wrong, then they will call you to come in to the nearest donation clinic. But, if your friend feels there is something wrong, he should get tested because blood donations aren't the best way to get tested.

apparently your friends blood was ok because they screen and screen again within 12hours of taking the blood so if something was wrong he would have already been notified
