People can live a LONG time with HIV. It just depends on how well your immune system is and how well you adjust to the medication. Some people only live a few years, while others live a long time.

Yes, there are several cases of people having HIV in their system for long periods and it never developing into AIDS.

The research I read found that the people who are able to resist it are descended from people whose family survived exposure to the black plague in the middle ages.

The precise mechanisms are being heavily researched as a source for a potential cure.

The down side is that it is still quite rare that this happens.

Sure.I guess so.A person can contract HIV..&,have it 4 yrs b4 it advances 2 full blown Aids.

The answer is yes and even more than 20 years but it depends on how you take care of yourself by changing the sexual behavior,exercising regularly,eating fruits and vegetables,drinking 100% pure juice and lot of fluids,avoiding drinking of beer and smoking of cigarettes.
