If you and your partner both have herpies, I'd talk to a doctor and use protection. There's medicine that prevents spreading herpies and calms the infection down so it won't spread easily. You still have to use protection. The medicine works if you plan on having sex and you have herpies but don't want your partner to get it. I suggest you talk to a doctor or look up more research. I wish I knew the name to let you know, of this one pill, it came out in lots of commercials. It like numbs the infection from spreading and stuff. Well hope this at least helps. Good luck.

You can have sex but you need to use precautions and you should not have sex if there are visible sores present. They have found that even though the person infected may not have visible sores or think they are having an active breakout, they can still transmit the virus to others under the right conditions. You just can't be too careful. Oral sex is definitely advised against! There is no cure and it doesn't look like there is anything on the horizon either. Just be careful and take no chances. There have been some rare instances where people have gotten gentital herpes in their mouth and transmitted it to someone else who in turn got it systemically(all through their body). It is an awful thing! Some people take medications like Valtrex and Zosterix to help decrease breakouts and minimize the length of their breakouts. Talk to a doc, they can tell you the best precautions and treatments available.

You can if you want to spread it to your partner. You should not have sex during a breakout, and you should probably take the drug Valtrex. It doesn't cure herpes, but it decreases the number of outbreaks and makes them less severe and faster to heal.
The person with whom you are having sex has a right to know if you are a carrier. They have now found that the virus can be transmitted even when there is no apparent outbreak.
I should think there might one day be a vaccination against herpes just as they now have one for that thing that causes cancer of the cervix. The thing is the drug companies make a lot more money selling Valtrex than it does vaccinating someone once against a disease, and once you have it a vaccine would not help.

You can have sex with a condom only if you aren't having an outbreak. If you feel a tingling sensation or have bumps, sex is a big no even with a condom. ... Natural sex is a definite BIG NO, even if you aren't having an outbreak because you still shed the virus. A suppresent such as Valtrex or Famvir will only supress the outbreaks, it will not cure. Please practice safe sex and oral sex is also a BIG NO. This is a horrible disease for life and it is spread too easily.... There is no pill to stop the spread of this disease. Only supress it. Whether or not you are having an outbreak, you can still infect another person.

No there is no cure for herpies. You will have to take Valtrex. If you have sex wear a condom. If you have a bump down there you shouldn't come in contact without a condom.

You're very contagious if it is active right now. Otherwise, it is OK to have sex with someone who has herpies. There isn't presently a cure, but they did develop a vaccine for women so there's hope. Plus millions have it so if it is you who has it, you're not alone.

You can, but I wouldn't advise it. It can be passed on if the person decides to have sex with an outbreak. I hope they do develop a cure.....I was infected with herpes several years ag and it is one thing that has really affected my life.
