I have this too. Sometimes mine are so bad that I get lightheaded, it's pretty scary. I have seen 2 cardiologists and had EKG and heart monitors and they said they are harmless palpitaions and that they are common. They are supposedly caused by anxiety or caffeine consumption. I also notice mine are much worse close to my period so I would assume that hormones also play a role in these palps. If you are still worried I would ask your doc for a holter monitor to rule out anything serious, and EKG is pretty useless in diagnosing arrhythmia unless it actually does it during the test.

First of all an MRI is not the standard for diagnosing anything cardiac related. You need to start with most basic of tests...an EKG, you may need to wear a holter monitor 24 hours a day if an EKG does not pick up these flutters. They could be simple PACS in which the atrium of the heart send a signal just a little bit premature or it could be something more serious such as atrial fibrillation which can predispose you to blood clots, heart attack and stroke. PACS are minor and can be caused by stressors such as caffeine. You may need an anti anxiety agent if it is causing multiple PACS and you cannot cope with daily life stress. Talk to your doctor. I hope all is well.

Everyone experiences some form of "skipped beat", "flutter", or pounding in the chest. It is what is medically known as a PVC, or preventricular contraction.
Everyone has them, some more than others. Especially those that drink lot's of caffienated beverages.
Nothing to fear. PVC's happen all the time. Whether or not people notice them is another story. If you really have reason to fear a heart problem you will know about it.

Sounds like a heart arrhythmia. It could be from a variety of things, but you will need to see your doctor. You will possibly need an echocardiogram to check the inside of your heart and it's valves. You may need medication. You may need to find a way to de-stress, ie: yoga, exercise, meditation. You may need to give up alcohol and caffeine. Lots to talk about to your health care provider. Just make the call......
