Has everyone forgotten the horrors inflicted on our aquatic friends? To either have a sharp barb rip through your flesh and then be dragged by your jaw out of your home, or to have your gills stuck in a net so that you can't breath until your dragged up into the air until you slowly suffocate from your gills drying out.
What about shellfish that are scalded to death in boiling water?
Oysters being ripped open with a knife?
Fish farms are the equivalent of a concentration camp! Thousands of fish are forced into areas that should only hold (at best) a few dozen fish. Disease and parasites are a constant problem, a typical farm considers a 10% loss due to death acceptable. Ocean farms in Alaska almost killed off natural Salmon populations by creating a perfect environment for parasites to prosper and then spread into open water! Effluent from land based aquaculture operations regularly results in fish kills in natural waterways and has been implicated in the spread of diseases to natural fish populations.

Cause nobody is going to question them as to why they slaughtered the animal.
As far as Halal is concerned it is vital that the knife is sharp enough and should cut the throat in just one move and give an instant death to the animal , we must not use blunt knifes and give pain to the animal. There are also other certain rules like only middle aged animals should be used not too old nor too young.
They are many more these are just a few I came to know when asked about Halal.

It varies by animal. meetyourmeat.com gives some graphic details. For cows and pigs, the slaughter process is horrendous. They are forced to stand in long lines listening to the sounds of their fellow animals being killed. The stench of death is thick in the air. The animals are terrified, and try to resist moving forward, but they are pulled along on conveyer belts until its their turn. For poultry, they are hung live, upside down by their feet, and two long blades come along and slice their necks. The blades often do not quite do the trick, and the often live chickens are then dropped in to scalding cauldrons of water for defeathering. The terror and pain these animals are exposed to is shocking-all so humans can stuff their greedy faces. I don't have any info on Halal or kosher, but have heard it is more humane.

they wait until the animal had a good last meal, and wait for it to go into deep sleep, then they gas the animal, and slice just below the chin and it slowly bleeds to death, it's painless really.
just kidding, it's like being in hell, except it's real, and no mercy

I've seen an air gun used on cows which goes to their temple and kills them instantaneously (I think that the benefit is that the muscles do not tighten up in death that way)
I believe there is a apecial way animals are killed for kosher meals as well- where their throat is slit by a blessed knife0 but I could be wrong- I don't know the whole deal on that so well.

Well... KFC slaughter their chickens while they're alive. They chop their beaks off, hang them upside down and put their heads into burning water, throw them against walls etc etc, all while they're still alive. It's very cruel.

humans get slaughtered by drinking too much alcohol so i guess animals would do it the same way.
I wouldn't like to see an animal get slaughtered that would be horrid.
