If you were just feeling a little depressed I would say that was normal. However, since you're cutting yourself you're *way* past that. You probably have clinical depression which is an actual physical problem.

First you need to tell your parents what's going on. Then you need to have them take you to a doctor. Your doctor will probably send you to a psychiatrist who will probably perscribe medication and have you in counselling.

Do what the doctor tells you. This isn't something you can just snap out of.

That age of 13 is a very difficult transitional period between child and grown-up. The peer pressure can be over whelming at times. Asking a girl out shows me you have great potential of becoming a friendly normal person. That took courage. Every-one is not against you , it just seems so at times. If your depression continues please tell someone and you might need some antidepressants and someone to talk to about what's bothering you and how you feel. The sliting of the wrists might be a way of keeping control in your life but this is mis-directed energy and harmful. Please talk to a school counselor or someone before you harm your self anymore. I promise you that things will get better and there will be better days if you hang in . Peace

Firstly there is now way slashing your wrists is good for you, what you are felling is fustration being let out and I can understand that. The problem is you are letting the frustration out the wrong way. Try this technique find a place where no matter how loud you scream no one can hear you. Think of what is frustrating you then scream really loud from the bottom of you stomach it really relieves you.
I think there is underlying problem that you have not mentioned, what has happened in your life that makes you not trust anyone. Have you been sexually abused or similiar, sometimes there are helplines where you can ring people and talk to someone about your problems.

No, sweetie. This is not just growing up. Cutting yourself is not normal or healthy. That it makes you feel better is a symptom of your depression. You need to tell your parents or a counselor at school that you've cut yourself. You need some counseling. Life can be difficult and sometimes our emotions get out of balance and we suffer a depression. You are definitely growing up, but you are also suffering some mental illness. A lot of people do. It is nothing to be ashamed of, but you need professional help. Tell an adult you can trust to get you some help.
God bless.
