I'm kind of confused when you say "it went away". Are you talking about the virus HPV going away, or are you talking about genital warts going away?

There is NO cure for HPV, but most people are able to get rid of the virus, their bodies basically "fight it off". And, since there is NO test for men to detect HPV it's basically impossible for them to know if they have the virus or if they were able to get rid of it.

There is medication to treat genital warts though. There is creams a person can apply at home or if the warts are more severe they may need to have them removed. There isn't medication to suppress the virus though like there is for herpes.

And believe me you are not being punished. MILLIONS of people have HPV. It's is one of the most common STDs out there today. Luckily you are a guy and HPV doesn't really affect guys all that much. They can develop genital warts but it rarely causes any other health problems. It can cause cervical cancer in women which is the second most common kind of cancer in women and it kills about 4,000 women a year!

Well maybe you are being punished!

I caught them 15 years ago and have had them frozen off at least a dozen times.

They will usually go away after a while if untreated, but it is thought that having them frozen off helps shock the virus into remission. New research indicates that some people can totally irradicate the virus from their system over time...I don't think this is most people.

Last time I got a wart I bought an over-the counter wart remover designed for regular warts- that freezes them off with isobutane. It worked fine on the jimmy, and cost less than my doctor office copay, and no embarassment!

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 yrs ago, when I was still in college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand loads of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/hS6yG everything changed.

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

Don't sweat it. It only leads to cervical cancer so that's all right.
