Another sign is tooth decay is speeded up. More cavities occur because the body takes calcium from wherever it is available, the teeth and bones. I was hospitalized at the age of 22 with a severe muscle cramp in my leg which led the doctors to suspect a blood clot. That was when I found out that my calcium level was too low.

Low calcium tends to be felt most often through teeth when drinking or eating hot or cold items. It will feel as though you have eaten something really sweet and have a cavity that bothers your teeth. You'll be able to feel it on all of your teeth rather than a particular one.
Bone density tests tend to happen at local pharmacies every two monthes for around fifteen dollars and they will tell you if you have gtood bone density verse weight and height.
The easiest way to tell is by measuring how much dairy you get in a day.
You need three servings a day unless your over 50 and then you need 3 1/2.
8oz milk is one serving
1 in. cube of cheese is one serving
1 cup yogurt is a serving
Also if you want a really easy way to make sure your getting calcium drink orange juice that contains calcium because the citrus enzymes in oranges cause your body to absorb more of the calcium as well as you gettign not only a serving towards dairy, but also a serving towards fruit daily intake.

Some of the symptoms of calcium deficiency are osteopenia, skeletal abnormalities, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, insomnia, tetany, premenstrual cramps, hypertension, brittle nails and joint pain.
Signs are those things that are measureable, such as an anormal bone density scan or a low serum calcium level. These are two signs of calcium deficiency.
It's true that one might have more problems with the teeth. The body attempts to maintain a certain calcium level in circulating blood and will pull calcium from bones and teeth in order to do this.
