You can reverse your condition naturally, with herbs, and your feet will get better.

I realize that conventional health care is necessary and appropriate. That having been said, there are also many things WE can do to overcome type II diabetes, and improve life as a Type I diabetic. I've been researching alternative medicine, and the amount of help that's available to diabetics is amazing.

Natural remedies are quite effective, and include:

Cinnamon
Bitter Melon
Gymnema Sylvestre
Nopal cactus
American Ginseng
Fenugreek
Chromium picolinate

Cinnamon regulates glucose, and has a polyphenol compound called MHCP that mimics insulin and activates cell receptor sites. A quarter teaspoon twice daily makes a difference. Fenugreek increases blood flow and inhibits the growth of infectious organisms. Everything on the list has a use in fighting diabetes. Learn how to use these herbs and don't fall victim to diabetes needlessly. You can find out about about them on line, or in a book I read cover to cover--

"One Son's Quest for the Cause and Cure of Diabetes", ISBN 7890766313

The author, a doctor, lost his mother to diabetes and spent the next 20 years finding a way to overcome it. My brother was dying of diabetes, and I was just starting to need insulin when we came across this definitive work which came out in February 2005. We both lead mostly normal lives now. It's a life saver, and the best money you'll ever spend on the subject if you decide to go that way.
You might want to check Abe Books, Alibri's, or Amazon.com for a good used copy cheap. I bought mine new, and I think it was about $35. I don't get any money from anybody for telling you this--just want to help, and the techniques in this book is what made the difference for me and mine. Best of luck.

Just recently found this 8-minute non-profit video http://www.rawfor30days.com/view.html , about diabetes diet. Click on the link, then click 'View Windows Media' to watch it.You'll be glad you saw it.

If you go to Wal-Mart or maybe CVS/Walgreen's, there is a cream called Diabetic Aid Foot Cream. It's made especially for cracked heels.

You'll want to clean your feet first and then apply the cream before you go to bed - wear socks too.

Wal-Mart has a pretty good "diabetes" section. It's full of vitamins, creams, lotions, etc... that are good for diabetics. i would read the ingredients and maybe ask your doc before you start taking them, but it doesn't hurt to look.

first, clean up your heels,if there are dirt sticking in, scrub them out with a semi rough stone with a laundry soap. be gentle though, you don't wanna get bruised. after that, get an over the counter super moisturizing cream, i suggest Vaseline for extremely dry skin or any lotion that's available. use socks all the time to lock in moisture. Do this every morning after bath and in the evening just before going to sleep. after a week, the cracked heels will vanish. then you must maintain the moisture on your heels by applying a lotion or cream and using socks all the time. there are no oil glands there so they easily get dry and crack.

as a diabetic you need to take extra special care of your feet. Get a good moisturizer and put it on your feet and then a pair of socks, leave it on overnight. Use a pumice stone in the shower to get rid of dead skin. Some good foot creams are burts bees coconut foot cream, the foot lotions from bath and body works and the foot cream made by gold bond.

I have dry feet and cracked heels and I use good old Cornhuskers Lotion. It works great. My feet are still a little dry but much better. In my job, I'm required to wear heavy boots (I'm an EMT) and my feet sweat. Cornhuskers is wonderful for that. Look for it wherever lotions are.

TRY SLATHERING THE HEELS WITH SORBELENE cream and putting an old pair of socks on.
YOU can put the sorbelene on and cover it with a glad wrap ( thin plastic sleeting used to cover food) that will help soften your heels. Stop wearing sandles or thong or going bare foot. Waer a comfortable full shoe. IF you dont have sorbelene cream you can use vasaline....Petrolemum
Jelly

see a podiatrist. If you weren't diabetic there are things you can do like maybe vaseline or aquaphor crm. on your feet at night (with socks over them), but with diabetes you are more susceptible to infection and may have less feeling in your feet, so that is why I would suggest a podiatrist.
