Ok i was tested through blood work as having herpes several months ago. I would have never known if i didn't find out the guy i was with had it. I have NEVER had a break out i just know that "technically" i have it. Anyway a guy gave me oral sex 2x's before and i just dont know if he's at risk??? I've been searching everywhere for the answer but that all state if like the person doesnt have a breakout at the time or not etc...etc.. keep in mind ive never had a breakout so can he get it?? Please answer thanks!!!!!!!

you may have had the herpes virus long before your first time having sex. you may have contracted it anytime. the virus does not always show symptoms. you are obviously a carrier and must always inform and protect your partners.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Yes, if you do not have a break out he can still get it. I got it when my ex boyfriend did not have a breakout.
I hope you told him before hand you had this disease, if you new you had it and did not tell him and he gets it he can press charges against you.
I pressed charges against my ex for knowing he had it and not telling me, it took me like 6 months to find out I had it because up to then I did not have a breakout so I had no clue I had anything.
You can go your whole life without having a breakout, that is why there are so many people with STD's that do not know they have them, most people do not get tested unless they have symptoms or suspect the person they slept with had something.
I have had herpes for about 2 years and have only had one break out so I am one of the lucky ones.
