I was recently diagnosed with diabetes I am a 25 year old female who is significantly overweight. I take Metformin and Glyburide and sometimes insulin shots. (They are going back and forth between Type 1 and 2 they are uncertain still of what I am because my weight leans to 2 but my age somehow makes them think 1.) I went DKA 2 months ago since then I have lost more than 50 pounds and I am trying to save myself from the terrible problems that arise with having the disease. (blindness, kidney failure etc.) My grandmother recently told me a friend of her's who has diabetes is taking mangosteen juice and is having great results , Anyone ever tried it ? Or heard anything about it ? I have looked it up but all I am really getting is that it is being studied and there are nothing yet out about its benefits other than testimonials.

Don't try mangosteen or any of these supposedly "healthy" products without talking with your doctor. Mangosteen is a fruit, and it's generally recommended that diabetics either stay away from fruit juices or drink only very small quantities because the juice contains more concentrated sugar than a piece of fruit does.

There is a family of substances called polyphenols. Xanthones (found in mangosteen fruit) and anthocyanins are just two of the polyphenols. Xanthones and anthocyanins are antioxidants and according to some, anthocyanins have the strongest antioxidant power in the polyphenol group. Stronger than xanthones.

Some antioxidants are made by our bodies. All fruit and vegetables contain antioxidants, some more than others. Antioxidants are found in blueberries, tumeric seds, red grape, purple cabbage and even caffeine, to name a few. You don't have to use only mangosteen fruit. It's been there all along. Polyphenols help with cardiovascular health and provide nutritional support for diabetics. So either way, with anthocyanins or xanthones, you may be able to help yourself. Run a search for anthocyanins and see what fruits and vegetables are rich in this polyphenol. If you run a search on xanthones, it will be harder to find something other than mangosteen, only because it's the flavor of the month.

When you have your information, take it with you to your doctor and present it. I wish you much success.

I sincerely doubt it. I have diabetes also and I read all the hype about mangosteen juice but then I read up about mangosteens and they are not any more wonderful than any other fruit; there is nothing in them that is exceptional. So, they cannot be the key to breaking diabetes.

I did have good luck with Cinnamon for a few weeks but then I read it is carcinogenic (prolonged use can lead to cancer) but I would suggest you leave the treatments to your doctor and not start trying to mess around with Folk remedies; you might mess yourself up really bad.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
