it is not usually fatal, if treated,,,, if a person has other complications, it can add to them and then be fatal,,,, its especially dangerous in the very young and very old, who often have weakened systems to begin with

It would depend on the type of pneumonia, the person's immune system (is it compromised in some way), and person's health in general. There are a lot of different situations with pneumonia to have one pat answer to this question...sorry

I'm not a doctor or in the medical profession but, if you think you may have pneomonia, DON'T WAIT...get to a doctor IMMEDIATELY!!!
