Sometimes snoring is caused by being obese, so maybe talk to their doctor about having them go on a diet. If this is not the cause, talk to the doctor about having their adnoids taken out can help or stop snoring. Or visit this website I found.

a snore is a sign of an upper airway or nasal obstruction, so you need to find out the sight of obstruction. is the snore coming completely from a nasal obstruction, or is it an upper airway obstruction. have an overnight oximetry done to find out if your oxygen saturations are dropping. if there is a sawtoothing pattern in your oxygen sats, further investigation should be done, like a formal sleep study. investigate sleep disorders at the american academy of sleep medicine, or the association of polysomnographic technologists website.

the usual solution is sleep in a different room.
that's what most couples come to.
i mean the snorer can get surgery
or if there's sleep apnea they can use a machine.
but they might not be willing - after all it's not bothering them.
coping is a better way than trying to stop it if you ask me.
i know earplugs don't work well...
i recommend separate bedrooms.

Buy that little gizmo they tape onto thier nose...it pulls their nostrils apart while they sleep so the flesh doesn't rub together and vibrate....mind you if they have huge adnoids and golf ball sized tonsils buy yourself those construction noise blocker type earphones! LOL
