Quite a few Nasal Polyps were removed under GA. Reports are OK but it is very difficult as the days pass to expell dried up Nasal Crust / blood. Besides I am having headache and general low feeling when I cant get rid of the crust. I am using normal saline spray, Rhinostat - S drops, Nasal Douches every 3-4 day and have also been advised to put liquid paraffin drops, besides to try Jal Neti. Help.

I had cauterization ten years ago for nose bleeds. It worked great. Something I only learned this year was irrigation. (but not Neti...) I was always shy about water in my nose...

Try a saline nasal RINSE (not a spray) A full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It draws out all the gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean). I've been doing it at work too. You get a lot more water through the rough areas.

The buffered salt doesn't 'sting' as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure. The special bottle and salt is about $20.

You can do this a often as you like with no bad side effects.

Drug-free is really the way to go on a frequent-use basis. (I put in a link for “what” and “how” – there’s also some good info on wiki)

Have you had a follow-up appointment? How long are you supposed to use all those measures? It would seem you may be irritating the mucous membrane more by continously washing away new cells. Are you hydrating yourself from the inside too, taking in enough oral liquids?
I hope you feel better soon. Those nasal surgeries are SO uncomfortable.

Take headbath every wednesday and saturday after massaging it with three to six teaspoons of sessame oil heated with ajwain and pepper corns. Remove excess oil by applying shikakait powder and basen instead of using soap. You should be able to remove nasal crust without much effort if you continue the above regiment for two to three months.

try putting a bit of babyoil on the outside crust
it will soften it enough that you wont itch
If you go into your nose too much this could be
causing more bleeding
just think of how much easier it will be to breathe
once you are healed
try to do something to take your mind off it

sGet ahold of your doctor... sound like something is wrong, like an infection. I think that you need to be seen personally by the doctor.
