I unfortunately no longer have a cat, but still have a full box of Advantage for cats.
It is the same size dose the vet gave me for the dog last month, so I wondered if there is a reason I shouldn't use it up on the dog?

Yes it is. It is exactly the same product, just packaged differently. So don't throw your money away.

Perfect example I can give you is this..Would you take someone Else's medicine that didn't belong to you. No it wouldn't be alright to do that. Unless you take meds and dog to the vet and get the ok from them. Which I doubt they will give. Dogs and Cats are different just like people. To be on the safe side throw away the Advantage and start fresh. I ounce of prevention is worth a long life of heartache.

No it not the same. Believe me try and see how much your vet bill will be. My neighbor did this and it sent her dog into convultions and the poor dog ended up at the vets for almost a week. She pulled though but now she has a twich. Its heart breaking. Donate the meds to the spca and go get the right meds for your dog.

Hey,
Do YOU take other peoples medicine when you could kill yourself? Absolutely not! Give you Advantage for cats to someone who does have a cat ok? Your dog would appreciate it. I'm only saying, it was good on your cat, but is isn't good for your dog.

Absolutely not. What may be fine for a cat can kill a dog. Advantage has different chemicals for different species, and different strengths for different weights.

I doubt it..but ask the vet. If the box is not opened, sell it on ebay.
