Well, it would be helpful to know if you are male or female as hormones can be an important factor here. IF you are female, I would consider starting oral contraceptive. You can talk to a dermatologist or gyn about that.

Male, female, or a mix of both... you can try the following.

There is a vitamin supplement called Herpanacine that you can buy at a good health foods store. This product is great for reducing acne and improving the overall condition of the skin. I take 3 capsules in the am and 3 in the pm with my meals.

Use a good, but gentle cleanser on your face. The tendency is to use a really harsh cleanser to get rid of that oil that you mention. This may solve the problem immediately, but before long your glands are going to be working overtime to get moisture back into your face. There is a school of though that if you add oil to the face your oil producing glands will slow down. So, use a gentle cleanser. If you use a toner, make sure it doesn't have alcohol. One with tea tree oil is great because it is disinfecting/antifungal but won't strip your oils like alcohol will. Don't scrub your face with anything abrasive. If you must use a gentle and soft wash cloth and very lightly wash the face and rinse, rinse, rinse at least 20 times by splashing fresh, clean, tepid water on your face.

Next.... keep your hands and fingers away from your face. Every time you touch your face you introduce bacteria. The bacteria grows into your pores and causes a pimple to form. I can't stress enough how important this is! Don't touch your face during the day and don't pick or squeeze at anything on your face. You should never have to get closer than 3' to your mirror (unless you are plucking eyebrows).

There are some good nonprescription products for acne. A lot of people like ProActive solution. I think you should find a good health food store in a nearby town/city and go there and talk to someone about natural treatments for acne. There are numerous topical creams that contain all types of natural antibiotics and oil regulators. If you try a natural approach and don't see improvement, then I would recommend seeing the dermatologist. They can put a stop to acne pretty quickly with creams and oral meds.

Good luck!

Pimples are caused due to the excessive production of sebum. This can be controlled only to an extent.
External applications go only so far in curing acne.
More important is your diet.
1)Eat healthy. Eat raw vegetables or fruits whenever u feel hungry between meal times.Never go for oily or chessy foods like chips, fries, pizza etc...
2) Work out. This brings out all the sweat and secretions from your body and the sebum does'nt linger under your skin. But it's important to excercise regularly.
3) Wash your face if you feel it's oily. Make sure you wash it atleast 3-4 times a day if your skin is too oily.
4)Drink lots of water. Water is essential for your health and it cleases your internal system. All the toxins inside you are flushed out and your skin will feel fresh.
5) Keep your face clean. DON'T go for facials. This would increase the blood circulation on your face and excess sebum is produced. Actually don't even touch your face too often, coz that wud transfer the dirt from ur hands to your face.
Use a face pack every week(only once).

The above mentioned methods are to prevent pimples.
To cure pimples:
1)DON'T pop, pinch or press them.
2) Go to a renowned dermatologist and get some ointments, hormone-control tablets.
If you're too busy for that, use metrogyl gel ( it's an ointment) every night.

Good luck.

Start taking hamdard's Safi, this will help the root cause of your pimples. Wash your face with a mixture of multani mitti, sandalwood powder, and a drop of oil (except coconut); make a paste with water or rose water, and use it like a face-wash - apply the paste, and then rinse off using cold water. Do this twice a day. Rinse your face as often as possible, and wipe your face with a separate, clean towel. You could try biotique cream, but finally use whichever suits your skin best.

This method REALLY works, I too had oily skin and severe acne, now my skin is normal, and the pimples are gone. This paste also gives your face a glow (non-oily!) and improves its quality. This is a long-term remedy, unlike over the counter stuff.

If you decide to go to a dermatologist, please DON'T use anti-biotics, it can worsen your acne, or have other side-effects. Home remedies are the best, especially in the long run, and the improvement is not temporary, unlike chemical treatments, drugs and topical creams.

These simple remedies worked wonders for me. Hope it helps you too.

Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up."

At your age, I had the same problem; I tried over-the-counter remedies, but to no avail. It was costly. I would skip all that and go directly to a dermatologist. I received heat treatments that dried up the condition in short order. Good luck!

Just wash your face with water three times daily with margo or hamam soap. Leave the pimples untouched without pinching or squeezing and they should vanish on their own. They will come to adoloscents whether they like it or not.
