There is no need for these mind games.
If you set a test like this, you are the one who can not be trusted.

Best is not to show him you don't trust him.
I know an X that his wife has been with questions all his life, and because of that he kept coming to me, saying she's too jelouse and the more she's not trusting him, the more he wanted me, because i never gave a damn what he was up to, and always loved my own freedom, space, and always told him to find something to do while i was at the gym working on my own body and mind.
Find something yourself, a hobby. But if this is a serious question relating his attitute or something, then find a way secretly to follow him once or twice places he's supposed to be. if you see him inocantly he is at those places, then STOP it straight away, so he won't know, that way you can both be happy forever.

You should not have to test someone, And if you do feel the need to test him, you either do not trust him or you do not have enough self esteem and need to work on yourself. So you need to figure it out and work on it. If it is him get rid of him, if you do not trust him end the relationship. If you have emotional and insecurity issues, seek some counseling. "Time" is the best test. Promises are not always true/kept. Lies can be told in a conversation. Time is the best way to know someone.

Ask yourself how attractive you make yourself for them...if you whine and nag too much...do you make him/her smile more than frown or cry...is the sex good and fun and happy. If you answer truly and find yourself coming up short all the time, he or she probably needs some pleasure in their lives and you'd do well to let them go!
