No, I'm afraid not. There is nothing at all to stop someone being depressed and delusional at the same time and it happens quite a lot.
Often people become depressed because their delusions do not seem to work out.

I never heard of anything like that. Some people might have depression and delusions at the same time, some others might have delusions one time and depression another time. It might seem like one is "cancelling out" the other to the person having the symptoms but I never heard of a psychiatrist saying it was really possible. I used to work for a state mental hospital.

I actually would say yes, in certain cases.
If the delusion is of grandeur or some other positive and elating experience, it may temporarily block the negative emoitons which are still present--
note that I say STILL PRESENT, as in, it does not undo or cure depression!!

No, they would probably make each other worse. Depression is usually the result of delusion.
