As long as you don't drink and drive, and your
drinking doesn't wreck your relationships, then
your drinking is only a problem from the oceanful
of critics out there in this sea of madness called
society. Alcohol is the one recreational drug
allowed in the United States, and if you don't
mind spending your money on it, and you enjoy
the time you spend intoxicated, it's fine.
Think about all the people you encounter who
don't condone YOUR drinking, if you knew
the truth a lot of them drink secretly. The
fundamental rule is you don't infringe on
the rights of other people, whatever you do.
Freedom isn't worth having if freedom is
being systematically eradicated, which
unfortunately is the case in human society.

I artwork with those with addictions as a help worker. a individual is an alcoholic while their eating has a destructive result on themselves and/or is heavily impacting relationships. I certainly have labored with people who had a brilliant glass of wine a evening and could not take care of out it, and as a result seen themselves alcoholic, suitable by using to those that drink 3 bottles of vodka an afternoon and function extreme liver problems. although i'm not a brilliant fan of AA, or any 12 step programmes, as they declare absolutely everyone seems to be powerless over their addictions, which in basic terms isn't real.

No one can really answer that but you, but if you have to question it , it can be quite possible. The link above will help you on your way to discovery of that answer. Binge drinking can very well be alcoholic drinking. I can tell you from knowing people who have been there. In my opinion any time someone drinks to get drunk, they are abusing alcohol, abuse it long enough and it will inevitably end in alcoholism. Alcoholics are not just skid row types, or people who have lost their jobs or families, that just makes it easier to tell. Alcoholics need to drink, they crave it, and often think about when the next drink will be, or prepare ahead for when they will get it, and how. It doesn't seem to be causing problems until near an alcoholics 'bottom', when the bottom drops out and they begin to experience problems as a result of the disease including but not limited to, financial, relationships, and health. Untreated, alcoholism leads to death, incarceration, and insanity.

Maybe not an alcoholic, but definitely a problem drinker. I would worry about myself it I could not get through a weekend without drinking. I would figure that I had some kind of emotional problem. Be safe, don't drink and drive.

It doesn't make any difference how often you drink. If you "have to" get wasted on a weekly basis, that's a problem.
By the way, I have never heard a normal, social drinker question whether they have a problem. It doesn't even cross their minds. Sadly, asking the question pretty much gives you the answer.

do not drive, but hell no
the only problem is if you are a bad drunk who makes people around them upset, or you get angry
but man if this is what makes you really happy, who is anyone to tell you how to live you're life
you have a job I guess, and the money to spend on your self
so if you life is in order, live by your own rules, not other people,
hope you can find a women that understands you and has fun with you instead of juding you all of the time
good luck
