I am a vegan, and I heard that was true.

I never knew this, but I think companies are obliged to adhere to rules on displaying something as Vegan or Vegetarian. For example, things like shampoo have Vegan written on them, even though the contents you wouldnt generally associate with having any animal contents.

FALSE. Sugar is brown after extraction, and is whitened by simply washing in water. The brown color comes from molasses formed during extraction.

BTW.... ALL Sugar is all natural IE: Organic. No preservatives added, and not man made.

I'm not a vegan but I choose to always buy organic sugar, no nasties in it!
