The side effects of withdrawal can be similar to those you get when you first start taking citalopram, however that doesn't mean that you will suffer from any of them. Sometimes when worry too much about the side effects, any that you do suffer can be psychosomatic.
If you have only recently started taking them, don't think that far ahead, if you've been prescribed them, you need them and if taking a little tablet once a day helps you feel better, then so be it..

Citalopram is not really a drug of addiction, although you may get withdrawal symptoms. These are generally confined to dizziness, paraesthesia, headache, anxiety and nausea. Reducing slowly, perhaps by transfering to the liquid form which can be gradually titrated down will help.

This is a general outlook, sorry I missed the finer print that relates to citalopram.
Though I think coming of any drug of abuse or for medical reasons would fit the below cri.
As it is an anti depressant please seek medical attention. Do not stop it unless your Specialist lets you & or puts you on something more fitting. excuse the punt.
Sometimes people have to go into hospital to get their medications altered.
Your not talking the D.T's are you?
I'm not sure what the person is coming down off.
WARNING; If they have been on something along time & they are now coming off it quickly,
Please do not try this at home;
Otherwise it could result in siezures whilst no-one is watching, leading to brain damage or death.
Otherwise & it is in no simple case of just get off whatever & you'll be fine.
The as you asked symptoms would most likely be;
sweating heaps
bad semi dreams
feelings of your skin crawling
sometimes halucinations
thirsty
diahrea
terrified
feeling of dread & lonesomeness
shaking
can be abusive because there scared
not loking after ones self
Soo desiring - like & is for thier bodies -to go back on the drug
If you are caring for them, try to keep them as comfortable as you can

I saw your earlier post, and I'm on same, if you stop suddenly you will get symptoms like shaking, nervousness and a sort of electric shock feeling. Are you seeing a doctor about this?
