An inter-racial heartbreak...?

I like guys--doesn't matter the ethnicity, as long as we are compatible in personality and such. The thing is I am (half) black (I look Mexican) and all of my guy friends of all ethnicities overlook me. I haven't had a crush on ALL of them, but the few that I have had a crush on were a let down because they ignored my obvious crushes on them. Why? [no lie] My black guy friends all prefer white girlfrends, my white guyfriends all prefer white girlfriends, and my Indian guys friends I can pretty much forget about, and as for the Latino guys that I know--their families don't take kindly to my kind. Its cool because I believe that you can't help who you fall in love with. However, I'm just wondering when a little love will swing my way. Am I doomed to a lonely life because the world sees black skin as a terminal disease that will cause impure children? Or do I have to "settle" for anything that comes my way? I feel like a reject.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but because you don't fall within the realm of most people's past experience or ability to cubbyhole, you're a enigma. I've never seen or met you, so I'm guessing; but, I'd assume you're not dark enough to be Black(in their minds) and not light enough to be White. If you don't speak Spanish, they can't toss you in with that group; it makes a lot of people in general uncomfortable, because they can't stereotype you. This is exacerbated( like the big word?) if you're bright and funny, which makes you 'competition' to your sex and 'too good' to the opposite sex of the race you identify with.
The best thing I can tell you is: don't try so hard. Eventually, you'll meet people who really don't give a damn what ethnic background you come from that just want you because you turn them on. But, they are few and far between; you just have to make sure that you're open to the possibilities when they show themselves and try not to be bitter and angry. And, be REALLY patient and very tough. You don't have to sacrifice your soul in order to find friends or a mate...

I don't think most people where I live in Canada would care if you are mixed.
My daughter is of German and Dominican mix and is stunningly beautiful and will have no problems when she is older finding someone.
Maybe it is something else that is causing problems for you attracting the right guy.Self confidence is attractive so try building that up first , stay fit and healthy and positive and I`m sure things will work out for you , Good luck.
