I've just auto installed the tv channels and its missing quite a lot of channels ie channel 5, TMF etc and i cant find them anywhere. Do i need a special scart or stronger ariel in the roof? I didn't used to have a problem with the digital freeview box i used to use

Which Freeview channels are picked up depends on the signal strength at the time of tuning and tuner sensitivity. I had the opposite problem where the Freeview box was pretty useless. The Freeview signals are via the aerial and nothing to do with SCART. I assume that you are using the same aerial and connecting cable as before. You could check that the cable plug appears to be properly connected and, if connection is via a VCR or DVD box, try a direct connection to the TV. Next would be a better aerial.

First try retuning - you might have tuned on a bad airwaves day.

hi,

with the samsung you have to install the tv twice!!!!

Once for the bbc1-channel 4 programmes.

Then you have to press the dvt button on the remote, then go into menu to install the freeview.

The reason why is that you have two tuners one digitial and 1 anagoule, until you inform the tv which one you are insatlling it will go to the anagoule.

Hope this helps wg

A tuner isn't a receiver. you will need an antenna to get carry of community broadcast channels free of fee. merely think of of your old time TVs - all of them had tuners, yet you mandatory an aerial to actual get carry of the channels.
