Is it true that you desperately need to smoke or take drugs before the residency test in medicine just to remove stress? if not, what are the other options for relieving stress? please help, Im worried for my sister who's currently taking her internship..

That can't be true. It's extremely stressful, but not everyone is going to smoke or take drugs unless they are already the type of person who does that. There are other ways to relieve stress and your sister is probably smart enough to figure that out.

Of course not, this is only for the weak who should NOT be in the medical field. If a test is going to stress you out that much, what are you going to be like when faced with real life and death situations, which doctors have to face in their routime work? If what you say is true, then we are been treated by dope heads. Do you really want a doper to be treating you for anything?

I have never heard of that drugs unless prescribed are illegal and if your sister is doing drugs i sure as heck wouldn't want her to be seeing me as a patient so now don't that sound stupid to ask a question like that and smoking why start something if you don't do it but smoking cigarettes is still legal
