Are there non-Muslim and non-Jewish Europeans who bleive that Jesus son of Mary was only a human prophet? I know that there were many Christian sects that believed that Jesus was only a human being who came with a message like Moses...do followers of these sects survive today?

No, most of Europeans don't believe that. It's quite illogical that God died, right? Followers of early sects who didn't believe in trinity haven't survived until today, because Catholics and Orthodox prosecuted them and killed those who disagreed with them. But nowadays less and less Christians believe in Christian dogmas. You have to know that Christianity is a dogmatic religion, which offers no logical and no scientific explanation. That's why Europe is seeing trend of strong decrease in numbers of Christians, as more and more people abandon it, unlike uneducated people in third world countries who are becoming most zealous followers of Christianity. Christianity doesn't allow freedom of thinking and don't connect European scientific achievements with Christianity as the foundation for modern science have been layed by Muslims in Spain and later scientists have always been prosecuted by Church and many also executed.

Nowhere in the New Testament does the word 'trinity' appear, (in any language) and even more importantly, never once did Jesus say He was God or that the Holy Ghost/Spirit is a 'person'.
So yes, I am a Christian (very different from Catholic...) and no, I don't believe Jesus 'is' God.

thank you for asking and attempting to understand. i'm jewish and dont have self assurance that jesus replaced into the messiah... in accordance to jews, the prophecies weren't fulfilled and in accordance to christians they have been... which the two proves or disproves that he replaced into the messiah. i assume that neither jews nor christians will ever be responsive to a hundred% honestly the two way no remember if he replaced into or wasnt the messiah. i will say this however. there is not any doubt that jesus replaced into an extremely holy guy, a non secular guy and an excellent and pious jew. That being the case he might have by no potential ever ever ever have reported " i'm the son of god". this could have been the main blasphemous element ever!!! additionally you would be able to desire to undergo in concepts that the hot testomony and christianity extremely didnt ensue until 3 hundred years after Christs death, so which you would be able to desire to ask your self how a lot of it extremely is what he preached and how a lot of it replaced into rewritten to serve the ruler of rome on the time who presented it formally to regulate the plenty.

I don't know about any sects, but the Bible doesn't support any idea of a Trinity, so Jesus and God cannot be the same thing.
