Yes and no.

It will depend on your body type and what is the best dietary regime for you. No one diets suits everybody.

Walking briskly for 10 minutes will do you more good than walking slowly for 30. Aquaerobics is better again. They are ten times more effective than walking, even the gentle classes.
Drinking a lot of water is certainly good for everyone's body. Don't forget, you must have 30mg of fat in your diet every day. The fat in your diet helps to breakdown the proteins in your diet into something your body can use. If you don't have the fat, the body cannot breakdown the protein and will start to break down the muscle instead.

As for sleeping 6 hours a night. This will vary from person to person, based on the amount of work they do, the amount of stress and/or relaxation they have in their daily lives and how well you sleep anyway. Sleep is controlled by your brain and your brain knows how much you need so you cannot control this one I'm afraid.

You will loose the weight, depending on how much water you drink, and how low you walk. You have to figure out how much water is needed for you a day. Drink that much water and then no less than that. I would walk for more than 30 min a day. I find that if I walk for distance and not time then it is easier for me. Try to walk for 3 or 4 miles in 45 min. You will get more out of it.

It's not that easy.
Simply put you have to eat less than you burn up in calories. The walking is a good start, cutting out junk food abetter one, get rid of fried food in your diet. Get enough sleep, no one likes to be around a tired grouch. Water comes and water goes, it don't make any difference beyond a day or so.
