Do you know how stupid this sounds? Of course we have reasons to be kind to people, and we have lots of reasons to do things for charity. And I'm sure that it's other Christians who are telling you that atheists have no morals, and not any actual experience with any atheists. If you're referring to yourself, meaning YOU would not be kind, or charitable, and you would have no morals, then that's YOU. We were all born with human intelligence, common sense, and empathy for our fellow men. Most of us know how to use that. We don't need a book or a preacher telling us to do the right thing in order to get up off our knees and do the right thing.
And I know a heck of a lot more Christians that are into porn than I know atheists that are into porn. I'd be interested to know how many convicted pedophiles are atheists vs Christians. I'm sure YOU wouldn't like to see those numbers, because everyone knows it will be disproportionately religious people. The prison population is over 80% Christian, and is comparable to the number of Christians in the U.S. The percentage of atheists in prison is LESS than 1%, which is a heck of a lot less than the estimated 5%-10% of people in this country who are atheist.

This is a very ignorant Question.
So you're saying that you only act like a good person so that god will love you? That's quite sick.
People generally act nice because they have a moral core, everybody knows right from wrong and most people like to do what is right whether they be Atheist or Christian. You don't need to be a religious fanatic to be charitable. And I know many "religious" people who steal mp3s and watch porn. I was going to make a comment about priests... but I'll keep my words to myself.
I don't want to offend anyone. Unlike you, you very "religious" person you. You don't need to religious to have morals.

The priests who were molesting children while God watched were possesed. The religious people who flew airplanes into buildings and said that they were doing it for God were satanist. You are only seeing what you want to see and looking through the eyes of religion. I do things for charity because it's the right thing to do and you should also, not because a religion said so. Keep in mind that for all the time before organized religion got its start the people didn't run rampent in the streets. Atheists never fly airplanes into buildings killing thousands of people. They know right from wrong without a religion telling them.

If you're an atheist, it's your responsibility to set your own goals in life. Most others that I know set the goal of leaving the world a little better than they found it, which is a reason to be kind.
Another consequence of being an atheist is that if we hurt someone, we are the only ones who can fix it. The only person who can forgive us is the one we wronged. As a result, it's important not to hurt people to avoid making a mistake so big that we can't fix it.

Whether you are an athiest or a religious fanatic or anything in between, everyone has something in common, which is that we are all human beings.
As humans we all want to be personally happy. That is the aim of life.
A confused person might think hurting themself will help them be happy, which is what most people do in many ways.
You think that following a particular religion will make you happy. It's all the same.... trying to find peace.

In answer to your main question: to live a good, decent, moral life. Belief in God is not needed for that.
As for the rest of what you have put: maybe you are too stupid and/or bigoted to even understand my answer to your main question.

I have never met an atheist out to hurt anyone, never mind demons and satans. I have to wonder where you've been hanging out.
To answear your question, they do the same as other good citizens, voluteer for Red Cross (you know, stuff that helps others).

Aims, purpose and meaning in life do not just come from religion but from within ourselves. It is the same with morals, I don't commit immoral acts because of some notional god will take revenge but because it is just plane wrong.
Example, I don't murder anyone because a bolt of lighting might hit me but because murder is intrinsically wrong.
Oh! and demons and Satan are just other non-existent gods

Are you a religious fanatic? are you possessed by god or jesus?
Like all people we are all different, some people are more sane than others, NOT ALL athiests are 'nutjobs' - like NOT ALL christians are a fanatical small minded, bigoted intolerant crazy who should be put into an asylum and never released because they might burn down buildings or attack people who do not agree with their point of view!
