Take a quick cool shower, and apply a mens after shave balm or after sun lotion on it, as these are designed to be sensitive and have a cooling affect. Do that, and it will disapear soon...
Also, do this everytime you shave and you won't get a rash again... Use a fresh blade every time, so why not buy a pack of disposable ones for when you shave down there. Don't use shaving foams. Even the ones designed for sensitive skin are quite harsh and are perfumed, which can really irriate the skin while the pores are open... so use a shower gel from a gentle range which is made for sensitive skin, such as Simple. And like I said in answer to your problem, use after shave balm or after sun on it afterwards...
Hope this helps

You can try to calm your skin down with an Aloe vera gel or other anti-irritant. FWIW, wax is always the best way to go from now on.
