My greyhound Happy Stutz raced at 98lbs and is 33 inches at the shoulder. Ghostly Gambino was a foster of mine that also raced at 98lbs and is the same height. Both were the largest by weight and the tallest racers in the US the years they were racing. Both raced at Derby Lane in Florida and are the tallest greyhounds that I have ever seen in the 14 years I have been doing adoptions and visiting the tracks to pick up dogs. That are both lightly muscled, narrow and tall for their weight. I have seen a few greyhounds that were allowed to gain too much weight after retirement that got close to the 120lb mark but they were just fat and not tall.

anwenn answer applies only to KC - Kennel Club United Kingdom greyhounds
The AKC/CKC(cdn) only has around 130 births a year in North America where as the NGA (National Greyhound Assoc) or racing greyhound registry) over 22,000 born a year there is no standard for height or weight in the NGA
The akc standard for weight no height is assigned
Dogs, 65 to 70 pounds; bitches 60 to 65 pounds.
with the NGA the range for Dogs 60 to over 100lb and females roughly 40 to 80lb and for heights there will be some that stand over 30 inches though no records are kepts of their height only the racing weight is recorded, so there is no way to know what the tallest greyhound is because of that reason.
This is Kingston whose is adopted and now lives in Canada he weighs 102 lbs the biggest greyhound I have seen so far
note the difference in size from the greyhound laying on the other side of the girl who is almost half his size http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/mleg2001/41945200iBigAD_ph.jpg
My own greyhound Callie a 70 lb female who was tall and rangy in build was 28 inches tall and my male who weighs 84 but is short and very stockily built is 26 inches talls.
In racing greyhounds there are 3 phenotypes of builds the shorter stocky ones are considered the power houses they have a short stride but have very powerful wide chests to propel themselves along , there are big tall rangy greyhounds more heavily built across the hips who are capable of covering a huge distance in a single stride their back length is very long as very springy, then there is the classical built which is a combination of the two. which is the build of my third greyhound who is 67 lb and 26 inches tall Different breeders/owners often will have preferences on what builds they prefer.
It will be those with the big rangy builds that will be the taller greys
so a 90 lbs grey in this build could possibly be 32" or more tall

I did well with a male Greyhound who stood 32 inches at the shoulder 1 CC and 6 reserves his sister was 30 inches at the shoulder and group placed at champ shows,so long as the dog retains it lovely symetrical shape a large hound isn't untypical. the first part of the breed standerd says it all.
" Strongly built, upstanding, of generous proportions, muscular power and symmetrical formation"

A friend of mine adopted a greyhound, and I was quite surprised to find that he was as tall as my male Dane - 34 inches at the shoulder. Not as heavily built, of course. I haven't seen enough greyhounds to know if that is unusually tall.

The ideal height is 28 - 30inches. Anything bigger than that is not a typical example of the breed
