If you have the legal right to live there, go for it. Be aware that property prices are as high as London, if not higher, though - I think the average price of a home there is like $800,000 unless you want to live way out of town in the eastern suburbs and commute 2 or 3 hours each way to work...
I love L.A., but I hate the commuting!

Definitely not.Stick with the crappy weather, the run down housing estates, the thugs, the bigotry, the high prices, high tax(if you're lucky enough to have a job),the poor diet, the social scene that excludes all but the hardened drinker, the brain-dead cops, the garbage dope and all those people that keep telling you what a wonderful place Glasgow is.You'd miss it.

If you've got a strong Glasgow accent then no, cos they wouldn't understand what you're saying, they can hardly understand English over there, so any kind of strong accent and they'll probably think you're a martian or something.

all depends what you are relocating for. I have family in LA so have been there many times, its a wicked place to visit, so much to see and do but after a while as they say there is no place like home. You have to judge it for yourself!

ap is right, visit before you make the commitment to move. I lived in L.A. for a long time, but despite the weather, etc., I always felt like something was missing. But if you are young and single, go for it. It will be fun and you can always go home.

The weather is LA is amazing, depending where you want to go there are some beautiful towns and cities, safe and lively communities, heaps of attractions like the theme parks and water parks. LA - I love it.

Wow,the chance to go to LA ?. Go for it,it will probably be the chance of a lifetime so grab it while you can.
Unless you have real doubts, family commitments,ie,elderly parents who you look after etc.
After all Scotland will always be home and in your heart so go on spread your wings and have a great time.
Good luck.
