i have never heard of red pudding, what is it ?

The main ingredient of Black Pudding is blood. I suppose the Red Pudding would be the same, but with a red skin.

I have seen black, white and red puddings in a chip shop in Aberdeen but I have no idea what is in them!

AFAIK red pudding is only sold in certain areas of Scotland. It is a deep fried food, just like their black, white and haggis puddings - something different to the rest of the world where unhealthy food is famous!

I actually don't know 100% what's in them, even though it's one of my favourite foods. I think it is ground meat - giving it the red colour - with spices like ground pepper. You can see a picture of one in the link below.

I have never heard of red pudding. However, I've heard of Black Pudding and Hogs Pudding which might be the same thing if you are refering to savoury sausage type food.
