Buy him some NUTRO dry food, and mix some canned dog food in with it. Most good dog foods tell you how much per pound you should give your dog. I feed my dog twice a day.
Here is some more good food companies. Basically always make sure the first ingredient is meat. Not corn.

Can't be as bad as a Beagle...they will eat everything and anything. Had a beagle who ate 5 lbs. of kitten food plus the 'crunchies' from the kitty litter pan...I have a dog now that eats popcorn and I have had dogs that couldnt' stand popcorn. But I try to keep it to dog food and treats intended for dogs. Just experiment I guess. And there are foods bad for dogs, no matter the breed so be careful.

Ive got one that is nearly 1yr and he eats anything TV aerials car mud flaps garden hose sticks his own crap balls bike seat underpants bras stockings as well as any food with in reach. On a serious note don't leave any thing out he cant have because they are very smart and inquisitive. They need chew toys and a fairly long walk twice a day or they will become a menace. Spend the time with them and they are great. And they love kids and mine hasn't got an aggressive bone in his body.

Everything and alot of it, plus of course food. I feed mine Nutro--sems to be very good, she eats about 6 cups a day. We go through a 40 lb bag evry 3 weeks are soo. Just feed them high quality food, they should have the best they are great animals. Mine has ate everything from socks--totally digested them , toothbrushes, rocks, yogurt caps, have to defintly watch the labs, they love to put things in their mouth.
Just a great quality food will do best!

A mix of good brand canned dog good, and dry dog food. Dont ever let it have access to an opened bag of dry dog food, as they can eat themselves to death. Mine ate 2 huge nylon chew bones, and had an expensive trip to the vet. They also pick up garbage and rubbish wherever you go, and especially fond of cat do doos.

My Labrador eats everything!
If you are training it, try treats that are smelly such as garlic sausage, cheese, liver drops because they follow them better.
As they get older, to stop them getting fat, the only treats I would give are vegetables or fruit. Mine loves lettuce/cabbage stalks, carrots, pears etc...

Whatever you do, dont feed your dog chocolate, garlic, grapes or onions. They are very unhealthy for your dog and should be left out of their diet completely. So not everything is good for your dog.
