You do not provide enough information for anyone to make even a wild guess to the answer demanded of your question. Only a doctor can check you out and provide you with advice that might prolong your life.....but there is no reason for you to believe that because your dad passed away at 42 then the same might happen to you. What was your dad's diet, what exercise did he get each day? Ask yourself a few questions to put things into perspective; if you are still worried after that then go bother your GP. Worrying about things that might never happen may be a disease in itself....get rid of it and consider yourself to have a long life ahead. Worry sometimes causes things to happen. Stop worrying and the problem might disappear.

Hi there

The chances are good for you because you are aware of what could happen. Don't get trapped in empathy us Brits seem to be the experts at this. Make a plan, join a gym, eat well but at the same time enjoy the good stuff. Cut back on the booze. I know easier said than done but just replace one thing with another good one. Go for salads with fish and chicken. diet is only a small part exercise on a regular basis. you don't have to bust your balls just do twenty Min's a day. any more is wasted effort. Pull out all the stops you can do it ;)

Good luck

Eat only when hungry and that too not more three times a day. Take only water, and nothing else. in between.

Chew each morsel 32 times.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. Why bother about an event which is destined to take place.

The best thing for you to do is go and see your Doctor and book yourself a medical,or if they have one where you live go to the well man clinic and get yourself checked out and get some dietary advice, plus stop worrying!
