It is possible, but not by you alone.
Contact your Electronic telephone Exchange, and they will co,operate in nabbing the culprit.
Then, you have ALL the details, including his address, time of call, etc to nail him!

Caller id will show anything the caller wants to show. So it is not a perfect solution.

You might be getting spam calls. Check the database of spam phone numbers at http://800notes.com People report spam callers there. Maybe you will find your mystery caller there. Just enter the phone number into the search field. If nothing found, report the number. Maybe someone will help.

Yes, a call can be posssibly made through internet using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)....howeverin this case if the call to you was made from internet the phone number on ur caller ID screen will be a foreign one.....Please note one thing that you can (as a general public) use caller Id to know the number of the caller ...... If U have the no. call him straight away.....Hope it helped U...

simple use the caller ID. you don't need any computer or any hi-fi system.

and if u hav the no. just go to nearest P.C.O. and call him. He/she will reply to an unknown no. Pretend yourself as a surveyor, and ask his/her name for your databank.

then tell him/her to stop calling u, and tell if he/she not stoped u will go to police.
