It's butter made from peanuts. It's made from ground peanuts only. Smooth peanut butter sometimes has peanut oil added. You can make your own in a food processor and I've been in shops where they make it in front of you. They just pour peanuts in one end of the machine, set it for smoothness/crunchiness and switch on.

hmm....not sure. They either call it butter cos its a spread and they had prolly wanted to make it sound fanciful or it really contains butter. Ha ha.

well....peanutbutter doesn't really have butter in it but instead it has oil.peanutbutter is really a mixture of peanuts and oil(vegetable oil).i know this because i really love peanutbutter.

no....it just means that it is creamy and spreadable like butter....apple butter doesn't have butter in it either

I think so but i reckon they should add more there is nothing more of putting than the thought of your mouth being stuck together
