beer. (--,)

I think that everyone who answered this question before me is correct within limitations....a pint or other measure of beer against a measly little tot of spirit. That is the way these beverages are consumed. Now, an equal volume of whiskey and coke versus beer might produce a different result, if no more than a comparison of dead brain-cells.
I have yet to witness a competition between a drinker of a pint of gin or whiskey and the drinker of a pint of beer.
The question needs a bit more information before it can be properly answered.

Think of beer as liquid bread! Lots of carbs and lots of colories, don't let other liquors fool you, if it is a grain derived liquor it too will have lots of carbs and calories.
