Narcolepsy is a neurological disorder (see http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/narcolepsy/detail_narcolepsy.htm)
Although, she has to let the company know of her condition, as the company have a duty of care to her as an employee and that working processes can be put in place and she would be reckless to keep this quiet if there is work involving machinery, driving etc.
If the company that you both work for treated her negatively because of her condition, then they would be guilty of disability discrimination.
You have to understand that this condition does not have a one stop cure. You should read the following excerpt and imagine what it is like to be in her situation.
Adults often perceive narcoleptic symptoms as embarrassing, and social isolation may result.
They may encounter interpersonal stress in relationships, sexual dysfunction, and difficulty working because of the condition itself or its treatment.
They may experience job impairment from sleep attacks, memory problems, cataplexy, interpersonal problems, and personality changes. These symptoms may lead coworkers to perceive them as "lazy."
Persons with narcolepsy are sometimes falsely suspected of illegal drug use.
Persons who are taking stimulant medications should inform their employers, because they may test positive for amphetamines on screening drug tests.
Persons with narcolepsy are at an increased risk for automobile accidents.
Left untreated, narcolepsy may be psychosocially devastating. However, with proper management and treatment, persons with narcolepsy usually lead meaningful and productive personal and professional lives.

Yes she has the right.
She never asked for Narcolepsy,it is a disorder therefore she can't help falling asleep.
If she were to be paid less then you that would be unfair justice (or something or other)
Put it this way say you couldn't help falling asleep and worked the same hours as a person without Narcolepsy, how would you feel being paid less for something you can't help?
I think your being slightly selfish don't you?

Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder. It only lasts a few seconds to a few minutes.Only in RARE cases does it last for an hour or longer.
Sounds to me like the only sleep disorder she has is not sleeping when she is suppose to and using narcolepsy as a excuse.Complain to the supervisor, what she is doing is wrong.

As she has a disability, she is not allowed to be discriminated against because of her disability. this may seem unfair, but she probably has to fit all her work into half as much time as you do!
Employers only make REASONABLE adjustments for disabled people, so, if she was not achieving enough in the time she is awake, she would probably not keep her job, on the grounds that she is not doing her job.
She would never be sacked because she sleeps, but she could be, just like you if she doesn't do her job.
She probably would rather NOT fall asleep without warning all the time, and is trying to have as normal a life as possible.

Do her bosses know that she suffers from narcolepsy, I do not think that she should sleep at work while you cover for her. It seems to me that she is really unfit to work at the moment, she should take some time off and get herself right..

you have been relationship for 15 months and he feels mushy sufficient to nod off somewhat than popping no-doze. usually that would not take place so speedy. he's appearing such as you're already appearing like a married couple, as a replace of a debutante he needs to impression. He works all day and reveals the videos boring. i'm going to guess they're "chick-flicks" and not action video clips. that's plenty extra durable to nod off in an action action picture or a noisy pub. Why do no longer you pass to those with him? To me, it sounds like he's turning out to be very mushy with the courting and additionally you're finding for extra exhilaration and are not waiting to cool down. there is not any longer something for it. you will the two compromise and artwork it out or split up.

SPLASH her over the head with freezing water and tell her you've had enough. Then after a day tell her you feel sorry and that you were just being insensitive. She can't blame you for that and that will keep her on her toes. If she has a sleeping disorder than she shouldn't even be WORKING hello!

well, for one thing she can certainly be fired for sleeping on company time! If she really has such a sickness, has she mentioned it to her/your boss? I would ask her, and if she hasn't, I would tell her that she had better let the boss know. Your boss may allow that, and if so, I would CERTAINLY develop a sleep disorder, especially since it is an acceptable practice!
Good Luck!
Hey, if ya wanna prank her, write a "Your Fired" note while she is asleep and place it in her lap!
