Look arround - many are unsatisfied but have no courage to go against existing practice!
You have every right to choose the Right-path.
Adopt a change - find real truth and satisfaction.
Study other religions before adopting the right one!
There are so many faiths claiming the Right-path but they do not address the basic needs of the believers except offering a heap of confusions, contradictions, and changes!!
They all preach Good Deeds - sounds good - but do not tell -"how to achieve it"!
Don't forget Islam (Peace)-The fastest growing Religion.
Blessings for all.

I know what you are talking about. I was raised in protestant church, studied the Bible in several translations and struggled with it because Intellectually, it just sounds ridiculous sometimes. As knowledge increases, science can sometimes shed a little light on things and explain things that couldn't be explained 2000 years ago. As I am explosed to new ideas, I can only trust what is right for me and let the rest go. It seems like faith doesn't work; but somehow, when you believe it works, it does. I certainly can not explain any of it. I think your God is bigger than any of the arguments you will encounter. No one, no religion can ever solve the mystery of God. You will never know the whole story; the rest you will accept through faith.

All religion are based on faith and logic! If such religion has no such logic then it cant satisfy the human mind at all! why dun u try to read and learn more about other religion like the closest one to u that is Islam. Away from Media and Stereotypes, judge it not by others but by you. here are some of the website
www.turntoislam.com>>
just then CBC reported a new white guy(im nt a rascist) leanring about Scicence found Islam as his new religion and hes bent on sticking on it. Mayb u can see some reasons to that...

Sure you know the right story of the bible? Many change it to fit their situation, modern times or to even fit their church.
I will bet....that gut feeling you are getting....is the book telling you that you are not understanding it fully.
And the book even says....you are but a baby, drink milk before eating food. Meaning, keep study'n the book, cause you are but an infant still in its grand story.
Do you understand the pattern in the bible? God created, it got wicked, God destroyed, rebuild, got wicked, God destroyed, rebuild, got wicked, welcome to today....hence why many of us see it as the days of Revelation.
Do you fully grasp Revelation? That the USA is even mentioned in it? The lamb with the 2 horns...the 2nd beast...that is the USA. Does all that click?
If you still see it as a book of men walking around in a desert and just talking like all the pictures tell you. Burn the pictures and start back at square one of hte Bible....for those pictures are misleading.
Do you understand that Zeus, Hercules, etc were Gods cause they were the children of the Nephilim, the Fallen Angels? That is why many worshiped them and we were told not too. They are still around today.....Illuminati and others, their symbols are among us everywhere, if you know how to look.
Bible is WAY more than just some book of stories, get past all that, it litterally is a book of Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Cause it tells you the cycle of man kind and what happens.
Do you realize the days of Noah were more advanced than we are today? More advanced in medicine, brain surgery? Do you realize they flew around using the power of the earth on what we call lan-lines. Nature power bands that wrap around the earth. Stonehendge, Pyramids in Egypt, Mayans, etc...all part of this lan-line.
Do you understand UFOs and how they are not from another planet nor little green men? Do you realize they are part of the other Gods, the Nephilim and are linked with the Illuminati? Illuminati is the original bloodline from ancient egypt from the times of these gods. There are about 360 mentionings of UFOs in the bible. Chariots of fire.....horseless cariages of metal....pillar that led Moses in the desert. All can make up to exactly what we see today in UFOs.
What about crop circles? They are done by the UFOs as signs and language....just study ancient egypt and the symbolism and then look at crop circles....you'll see they are talking.
Hope I gave you a ton of new work to dig into......if you saw all this and even more. Then take a look around, can't hurt to look some. I did some studies on the Quran just to see what it was about.
Research is one thing....to go and practice is totally another, and against the words of the bible.....for you shall put no graven image nor god before me.

To be honest, I don't know why they won't let you study something else if you feel your religion is wrong for you. I was Catholic and now I'm Jewish...somewhat different in beliefs esp since i joined a more liberal jewish community and the catholic one i was a part of was fairly conservative. i say do what you want and make sure you do it without their influence because it is your life and you only get one. plus, buddhism is allowed to be practiced without giving up christianity or another religion, because a lot of it goes along with the bible and the basic beliefs of christianity that are meant to be universally understood; love, peace, etc.

Uh, you can change anything about yourself that you don't like. I have never liked conventional/organized religion. I adopted my own when I was quite young and it just kept growing as I did. You can do whatever you want with religion. America was formed because we didn't care for other religions. Middle east fighting with each other has been going on for years over religious beliefs. You shouldn't have a problem if you want to change. Go ahead and explore what's out there!!! Good luck!!

I can understand your feeling of the emptiness in your soul. Choosing a religion is something very personal thing, you should follow your heart and feeling which is the religion can awake and englight you, make you have a happy life.
The most important in this life is you must feel happy about your live. Go and learn other religion and seek the englighment in your soul.
Wish everyone be happy

I really feel for you man. I know how it feels to "lose contact" with your relationship with Jesus. It is sad but you will find that Christians do not always behave like they should when one in their flock begin to question things. I say you look for truth with an open mind and forget what anyone thinks or says. It is my opinion that when someone really searches for truth it will bring them to God every time. I think God is much much bigger than one particular denomination but I do think that you can go too far away from what He designed for man. As far as feeling like a hypocrite goes, do not worry about it. The Bible says Christ died for us while we were yet sinners. You are probably part of a church which preaches holiness. I'd like to recommend a book for you. Check out my source link.

"I'm not really much of a sinner" --I'm sorry but that just made me laugh. If you had actually understood any of the bible when you studied it those 5 times you'd know that sin isn't a measurement. Someone who tells only one small white lie in their whole life (and that's they're only sin) is as full of sin as someone who's killed and raped thousands of people.
I know I'm not answering your question but you know what they say: "There's no such thing as a stupid question; just stupid people."
