I have a pair of large 127GB hard drives in my computer. Following a windows crash on its twin disc I had to reload windows. I had a microsoft backuop file on this drive prior to the accident. During the process windows reformatted this drive and so I cannot get the data. I have been trawling the internet for a data recovery program but the ones that find the file requirwe me to pay a large up-front fee. Does anyone know of a free program that will reliably find data from a reformatted disc, for FREE.

Unfortunately, reformatting is a word that the makers use to get you to unknowingly delete all your files. The costly programs are scams, as unfortunately reformatting a disc is a way of throwing your items in an irreversable void. Sorry.
