They rid your body of food quickly so the calories are not absorbed, they also dehydrate you so that creates weight loss too. Very unhealthy and will eventually lead to serious health problems that may not be reversable

It makes the user go to the toilet loads and so they become dehydrated and mineral deficient very quickly. The body has little time to digest food as the bowl is trying to shift any matter almost immediately.

Laxative abuse is a very dangerous form of Bulimia. It doesn't enable the victim to lose fat either.

The only way to be slim but not become malnourished is to eat a healthy balanced diet. Cut out sugars and processed foods and take regular but NOT excessive exercise. Sorry but there are no short cuts in life. For want of a better expression:

You can't have you're cake and eat it.

No, because laxatives are designed to be absorbed in the stomach and not in the bowel like many other drugs. They increase gut motility by causing an increased rate of peristalsis (wave like contractions) in the smooth muscle tissue of the bowel causing food to pass through much more quickly and therefore there is much less time for them to be broken down and their nutrient value to be absorbed in their passage through the bowel.

most of the laxatives are made of herbs. i guess it won't harm u.
however, too much laxative MIGHT not good for your body as you will spent most of your time in the toilet discharging everything in your stomach which will strip all the nutrients- minerals, vitamins etc...from your body. That I think will make you thin but at the same time weak & unhealthy.
Best way to slim down is eat healthily & exercise to burn off the calories. But don't starved yourself as it will only make yourself eat more and more.

This is a bad direction to think about. Bulimics have been known to do this. Yes to an extent it does work, but it is at least unhealthy and at worst dangerous.

Usual answer, Correct amount of well chosen calories in, regular exercises to get them used up. No tricks, you will not fix it that way.

It causes your body to void the food before the calories can be fully absorbed, plus it forces your body to void a lot of fluid with the food. It ruins your body's ability to void properly and the body's ability to utilize food properly.

laxatives can really jack up your system if abused. Taking one to eliminate calories is not that effective because it will only get "rid" of about half if that. Abusing them will cause you bowel trouble for the rest of your life perhaps.

They don't make you thin. They make you get rid of all the waste. But after a while your body would get used to them. People with eating disorders use them wrongly under the illusion that they will make them thinner, but they just make them ill. Not to be recommended unless necessary.

Eat only when hungry and that too not more three times a day. Take only water, and nothing else. in between.

Chew each morsel 32 times.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
