A Sikh is any person who believes in:
(i) one Immortal Being
(ii) the ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Dev to Guru Gobind Singh
(iii) the Guru Granth Sahib
(iv) the utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus and
(v) the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru.
A Sikh does not owe allegiance to any other religion. Although the majority of Sikhs have origins in the Panjab, there are many people of different races to have become Sikhs.

You can become Sikh by taking Amrit. Another thing is to read the Sikh scriptures (Shri Guru Granth Sahib). You should try to ask a local Sikh community, and begin attending some of their religious observances.
