I see no truth in this ignorant attempt of a question ! No offense but the therapist is waiting for you . Good and evil are as easy as life and death . which do you further ? hot and cold are both expressions of tempurature in fact there is no such thing as cold in science only a lack of heat or an increase of the amount of or degree of heat . Evil happens with or without you imaginary concept of god . God is merely the mythological representation of ultimate good used as a crutch to impress those inclined toward primitive to barbaric thinking without the advantage of a proper education leaving them susceptible to ignorance and false incentives . reality deserves more respect than your over active imagination.what your kind of thinking does is confuse the real heart and character by ignoring intelligence .Even if there was a god he would not be so stupid as so many foolish people have concieved . grow up my friend and try to abstain from the crazy talk I know you have the smarts to do much better.try starting with goodness and how life can be improved for humanity you don't start at the top in anything in the real world and besides the truest needs are deserved more at the grass roots level is my hunch . like supporting the virtues for the betterment of life . patience generosity charity concern for others kindness of heart in thought and action . these matter not cold and hot they are more material traits for technology than for spirit or grace . hope this redirection helps it was meant in the best of ways not to condemn but to guide ,admonish and assist from a humble heart to your benefit hopefully . the precepts of moses and Christ were established five hundred and fifty years before christ by the man Guatauma the Buddha. thank you for your time I'm not trying to covert just passing a little info.
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.

Depends on your definition of evil as you say. Is genocide, murder, plague, famine evil? If the extinction of the dinosaurs had not occurred we would not be here.So was that an evil thing? How can we as mere people understand how a particular action will effect the rest of the world? If a butterfly flaps it's wings in Africa and it ends up being a hurricane, a totally natural event, how can you say it's evil. Just because it has a bad effect on some people? How about all the people it was the answer to their prayers for work? Anyway, God bless.

I dont think evil is the absence of god.
it seems like your question could only be applied to those who believe evil is the absence of god (religious folk, perhaps)
still just reading over this reminded me of the old saying "too much of a good thing can be a bad thing" eat too much candy and you vomit. I think that might fit in here.

Yes, according to the Bible. You can't die from too much word, but you can die from seeing God while in your flesh, unless there is some sort of protection set up such as the Blood covering.
Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Where Do We Go From Here?
[2:154]
[2:155] We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the steadfast.
[2:156] When an affliction befalls them, they say, "We belong to GOD, and to Him we are returning."
[2:157] These have deserved blessings from their Lord and mercy. These are the guided ones

You can never get too much GOD on earth. But if unsaved and dead any amount of GOD is too much.
You can be spit out of the mouth of GOD for being Luke warm or neither hot nor cold.
REV 3:14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, `I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

Bad analogy. There are no grounds for the premise "evil = absence of god."

You can die from not enough heat too. Let's take your analogy further, perhaps a balance is best.
