While we must not underestimate the great love of Christ for His people (bride) it is not #1. His love for His Father is #1. Over and over He stated this that He came to do His Fathers will, (not ours). Also a yearning love can only be one that is merely hopeful. The love of Jesus is not a mere hopeful love but effective. As He says, He will lose none of His sheep.

that might work for a child who is lied to but I'm an adult and I know there is a price sometimes to be reckoned with for those lies whether well intened or not . Jesus died and is still dead . when you eat do you taste the food or the fork ...? Well
the fork is the messenger and the food is the message . the fork is dead and gone but the message lives on . even if it has been perverted by corrupt organized religions. While Jesus was alive he was much as any rabbi of today he cared if that care is what you want find a live rabbi or other leader who cares and quit substituting it with lies perpetrated by corrupt religious leaders proselytizing their self serving self righteous deceit because they ae tainted with the ignorance that a real honest spiritual leader would not accept.there are plenty of live people to yearn for your love . Love them not the dead.

Yes, definitely. Jesus is love incarnate and yearns for the pure love of one and all, love that knows no selfishness and all encompassing. He has come to teach the love and brotherhood of all human beings and fatherhood of God. nagarajan.

There is a God-shaped vacuum in each of us.

Before I came to Christ, I was aware that whatever I went after was not going to satisfy long term. Now I know that it is only a relationship with Jesus Christ who can truly satisfy.

God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Absolutely. God created us for relationship with Him. That's why He sent Jesus so that our sin, that separates us from God, could be taken care of. When we are cleansed from our sin we can enjoy this relationship again. God is love and longs for our love in return.

That is #1. I can't say what #2 is, but I know that is definitely #1. And when we love others, we love Him too.
